CyberDefender Corp, a Los Angeles based Internet security software developer, is launching CyberDefenderFREE 2.0 - free Internet security software that detect and protect PC’s from online security threats.
The technology employed in CyberDefenderFREE 2.0 detects and protects against attacks much faster than existing signature based systems. The software is a free version of the new CyberDefender Early Detection Center and has the ability to identify spyware, viruses and other attacks early-on and provide users with constant security updates.
CyberDefenderFree has the ability to analyze running executable files and assign threat levels. It can evaluate e-mail attachment files from Outlook and block high-risk files and infected emails. It provides online advice, informing users of infected files. The software also features earlyVIRUS, which provides real-time virus protection; earlySPAM, which prevents unwanted or dangerous spam mail; earlySCAM, which is anti-phishing technology that evaluates websites and blocks sites that fraudulently request personal and financial information; earlyMonitor which brings together all the functions to inform users of circumstances which could endanger their PC security, and safeSEARCH, which ensures a user’s Internet search will not be diverted to a scam site.
The company is able to offer the software free of charge because CyberDefender Corp’s network updating is largely cost-free, which means that there are no distribution costs. Also, the company’s earlyNETWORK thrives on a very large number of users in the network and free distribution is considered to be the fastest way to achieve this.
