PC Guardian, a manufacturer of computer and data security products, has announced its new USB Port Security System which locks a computer’s USB ports, reducing the risk of data leakage and data theft, and attacks by malware.

The USB Port Security System can protect multiple USB ports in various configurations. It provides instant, maintenance-free data protection without the need to install software.

The system ensures continued secure access for authorised USB devices, such as a keyboard or mouse, by capturing the device’s cable and locking it into the USB port.

It effectively combats the growing security problem of unauthorized data transfer through USB ports to flash drives, memory sticks, MP3 players, and other mobile storage devices.

The USB Port Security System is compatible with most USB ports on the market. The push-button lock can be installed in seconds and is available in different keying options to suit both corporations and individual users.

The systems costs between $12.95 and $71.95 depending on configuration and components.
