CoSoSys has released a new security tool - Secure it Easy - which ensures that data is not copied onto a USB storage devices without authorisation.

A major advantage of the device is that it works on PC’s running on Microsoft’s Windows Vista operating systems.

Secure it Easy functions as a USB Firewall. It only permits storage devices which have been authorised as a trusted device by an administrator to transfer data to or from a PC.

Administrators can also be alerted by email when someone attempts to use an unauthorised device.

Secure it Easy helps to prevent systems being infected with malware brought into the office on USB storage devices. It also stops users from connecting digital cameras and music players to company PCs.

The software, which supports Windows Vista, XP and Windows 2000, is priced at £23. Volume licenses are also available.
