Infamous Hacker Indicted

The infamous botmaster John Schiefer has been indicted on four counts of fraud. This includes bank fraud, Internet fraud, intercepting electronic information, and accessing protected computers. Schiefer has pleaded guilty to all four counts.

Based on court documents released, John Schiefer guilty plea entitles him to sixty years within a federal prison, along with a $1.75 million dollar fine. Schiefer, also known as “AcidStorm” in the hacking world, was quite popular. He glorified his life of crime, and used his job at a Los Angeles security firm to carry out the hacking.
