The first Risk Management Service Provider in the UK, Pentura, have announced the pending release of a new Data Risk Assessment Service.
The service will give businesses the opportunity to evaluate the risk level for business critical data.
Along with that, IT departments will be given the ability to constantly monitor data access behaviours surrounding their key systems, to ensure security is tailored to the businesses needs.
Businesses are coming to realise quickly the possibility of internal and external leakage of key, sensitive data.
The idea behind the Data Risk Assessment Service is to allow these companies to build strategies for security, by first identifying possible risks, then analysing and mitigating them.
This is to be accomplished mainly by reducing permissions where they are not strictly needed, and by implementing a broader model of less access privileges.
This new Data Risk Assessment Service is intended to be used in conjunction with Pentura’s existing Risk Advisory Services.
Pentura are aiming for their clients to have an understanding of how to structure their data on corporate networks, and then identify and audit business critical data to assess possible risks.
Danny White, Key Strategist from Pentura, stated that businesses are making it apparent that they are concerned about internal and external data leakage threats.
As such, Pentura is stepping up to make clear to their clients where their threats lie, and how to counter them.
