At the annual SC Magazine Awards in Europe, well known provider of on-demand program security testing, Veracode have walked away with two of the prestigious awards.
The awards are in recognition of superior performance in the information security industry, and Veracode were awarded for their SecurityReview® program, which is the first on-demand security testing application and also took out the Best Vulnerability Assessment Solution award.
Veracode was also given the SC Innovation Award for technology innovation in the IT security industry.
Veracode was among 300 others submitting to the 13th year of the SC Magazine Awards, but it was SecurityReview® which took the top prize awarded by chief security officers and top IT security executives.
CEO of Veracode, Matt Moynahan, spoke about the success of the company, and put it down to the fact that they were among the forerunners in a dual protection approach.
Veracode offers audits of applications for security, but also inspects code at the binary level, which is often where it is attacked.
Moynahan spoke on the satisfaction of those at Veracode for being recognised for their efforts to ensure the safety of their client’s data, and for their unique approach to it.
SC Magazine Editor, Paul Fisher, said that the awards night went extremely well. He went on to say that the choice the judges had to make this year was very difficult, due to the wealth of top-notch finalists.
