Australian security software company, Tier-3, has elected Steven Standring to fill the newly created position of Managing Director for their new European contingent.
Standring is to promote Tier-3’s Huntsman™ software solution in the region, with the aim of becoming Europe’s number one security software provider.
Tier-3 made a big splash in the market when they created Behavioural Anomaly Detection (BAD) software, the fundamental building block of the company’s Huntsman™ solution.
Huntsman™ allows for differentiated security level management, and aids companies in understanding their ICT infrastructure by providing threat management in real-time.
Tier-3 is currently implemented by various bodies requiring high-level security management, such as major corporations, financial institutions, governments, and intelligence organisations world wide.
Standring has built a reputation for developing progressive companies into industry leaders for the past 20 years, so it comes as no surprise that Tier-3 has chosen the former EMEA Sales Director at Tivoli to head up their new European division.
Standring was also chosen because of his customer oriented sales philosophies and highly specialised skill set.
After being announced as the new Managing Director, Standring spoke about his goal, which is to ensure that Tier-3 provides Huntsman™ software that delivers exactly what each client requires.
CEO at Tier-3, Peter Woolacott, said that applications like Huntsman™ are in high-demand now, because companies are more aware of the risks faced in an ICT centred work environment.
Woolacott went on to speak of Standring’s experience within the IT field, and more speficially, in IT security, and how it will give him the skills he needs to propel Tier-3 into the European market.
