CloudShield Has New Applications For IBM Blade Centre

CloudShield Technologies has announced that support for its DNS Defender and Subscriber Services Manager (SSM) applications is now available with the new IBM Blade enter PN41 blade.

Both national governments and service providers will now be able to take advantage of the platform in order to gain protection from different kinds of attacks.

Users will also be able to manage bandwidth on their networks and launch new services, all with the use of a single blade.

The main thrust of the DNS Defender application is to offer protection from DNS attacks and also to offer a reduction in the number of DNS servers while still giving increased performance.

DNS Defender does away with the need for cumbersome and ineffective load balancers, firewalls and additional servers.

CloudShield’s SSM is capable of enhanced delivery of latency sensitive applications such as VoIP and IPTV.

It also gives users a clearer picture of traffic on the network.

Their PacketWorks open development environment will give clients fast and easy application development and the ability to build customised security service control applications in around a quarter of the time it would take with rival systems.
