UK Firms Different Storage Needs Than Germans French

According to a study from Iron Mountain off site record storage is a system mostly preferred by UK companies rather than their European counterparts.
Over 42% of British companies prefer to keep physical records off site, compared with German companies 11% and the French at 29%.
Of those companies that keep records within reach, the main reason was simply ease of access.
A massive 90% of German respondents said they had a strong desire to keep physical records close at hand.
Across Europe, consulting companies were the most consistent, with 87% wanting records kept on the premises.
The financial companies were not so concerned about availability as much as cost of storage.
Across the board, security overshadowed actual location, with 50% showing concern about location while just fewer than 90% were most interested in security aspects of storage.
Almost any company would therefore be most interested in a third party storage provider’s security features.
Whichever order they are placed in, companies want security cost effectiveness and speedy access to their files.
Documents and data files on various media need to be custom configured for each client’s needs by third party storage providers.
