‘Web Threats Weekly’ Offers Email Alerts
A Canadian company has launched a new e-mail alert system that aims to supply the public with tools to better defend themselves against potential threats.
The e-mail alerts will go under the name Web Threats Weekly and will give members of the public information they need about the latest problems.
Pacific Coast Information Systems will send out an e-mail which will contain a list of websites that have shown vulnerabilities over the last three months.
This will alert members of the public to potentially unsafe sites and will hopefully add encouragement to these sites to remove any potential threats.
Users will also be able to check through the list before making financial transactions on a particular website to see if any threats have been detected.
According to the company, responsible sites are already doing everything they can to protect themselves.
The intention of the weekly e-mail is to protect the site’s visitors with necessary security information.
