Two-factor authentication (2FA) provider CRYPTOCard has been awarded the accolade of Managed Services Provider of the Year 2009 by IT magazine Network Publishing.

The award is based on reader votes, and recognises CRYPTOCard’s managed authentication service, CRYPTO-MAS.

CRYPTOCard CEO Neil Hollister said: “We are incredibly proud of this achievement.”

CRYPTO-MAS is an affordable cloud-based 2FA solution used to identify individuals before giving them access to applications, data and networks.

It requires no hardware or software installation, simply sitting in front of a company’s remote access, VPN network, website, or portal.

Hollister said: “With economic pressures driving down capital investment, cloud-based security services are increasing in their popularity.

“For local government and financial services organisations this is then further compounded by regulatory compliance that mandates two-factor authentication as a standard security policy for remote access log-in.”
