Teenager known as “Uppsala Hacker” may be charged with stealing Cisco’s source code

The Swedish Court of Appeals has upheld the conviction of 19 year old from Uppsala for hacking into 3 Swedish Universities and the Swedish National Supercomputer Center in Linkoping.
In an ongoing FBI investigation, the same hacker is thought to be responsible for stealing sample source code files from Cisco’s Internetwork Operating System [...]

Cisco Releases Security Patches For Routers

Cisco has released three patches for security vulnerabilities in its Cisco IOS and IOS XR routers.

Cisco warns on unsafe remote access

Cisco have warned on the security of remote access workers, after a study they commissioned into the habits of remote workers found unsafe networking practices were rife.
